Tyla Jansen van nieuwenhuizen
Registered Acupuncturist
Tyla is passionate about introducing others to the world of acupuncture and holistic health. She was inspired to study Traditional Chinese Medicine after seeing the powerful impact it has had on her own life and her family. Tyla takes the time to understand the root cause of each patient’s concerns, so they can feel balanced and thrive in their daily lives.
Tyla enjoys supporting a wide range of conditions including digestive health, nervous system regulation, stress, insomnia, skin concerns, chronic pain, and anxiety. She has a special interest in women’s health, offering support for menstrual pain, hormonal imbalances, fertility from preconception through pregnancy and postpartum, and menopause.
With over five years of experience as a personal trainer, Tyla brings a strong foundation in movement and musculoskeletal health to her treatments, especially when addressing physical pain or injury. She is currently completing her NEU Pilates teacher training, an in-depth program developed by a physiotherapist that focuses on relieving pain through intentional movement and fascia release.
Tyla believes that movement is the yang to the yin of acupuncture, and that combining both creates a powerful path toward balance and vitality.
Tyla graduated at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture from the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine. Her commitment to learning continues through ongoing training, courses, and research to deepen her knowledge of this incredible ancient medicine.
Tyla offers a range of treatments including acupuncture, fire cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, tuina massage, and Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture.
